Clinical Operations & Athenahealth Specialist (USRN Preferred)
Worldwide
We are building a highly specialized, modern ADHD clinic based in Oregon, USA, and we are looking for a clinical powerhouse to help lay the operational foundation. You will work directly with our brilliant Operations Manager (Luis) to build the clinic's clinical systems from the ground up. You will not be starting from scratch, we have an enormous, highly organized database of clinical content, SOPs, and best practices housed at adhdresources.net. The Founder will provide the clinical vision; you will pull from our established database and work with Luis to turn that vision into a flawless, functioning reality within our EHR. What You Will Do (The Core Responsibilities) As our Clinical Operations Specialist, you are the ultimate gatekeeper of medical necessity, clinical compliance, and EHR optimization. Your primary duties will include: Athenahealth Architecture: Pulling clinical criteria from adhdresources.net to build out ADHD-specific charting templates, integrate required clinical rating scales, and set up efficient "dot phrases." Clinical Quality Assurance (QA): Auditing provider notes before they go to billing to ensure they meet strict DSM-5 criteria and US insurance mandates. Prior Authorizations & Utilization Management: Leveraging your knowledge of US insurance to build workflows that ensure our patients' controlled substance prescriptions and treatments are approved without friction. SOP Creation: Writing the step-by-step clinical manuals for how patient intakes, medication follow-ups, and screenings must be handled within the EHR. Asynchronous Collaboration: Taking raw ideas (voice memos, screen recordings) from the Founder and translating them into structured, actionable tasks alongside the Operations Manager. Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate) This role is not for a standard virtual assistant. We are looking for a self-starter who speaks the language of US healthcare fluidly. You are a clinician or allied health professional: A US-licensed Registered Nurse (USRN) or medical scribe with a utilization review background is highly preferred. You know Athenahealth: You have hands-on experience navigating, building templates, or scribing within Athenahealth. You understand US Insurance: You know exactly what a medical auditor is looking for to prove "medical necessity" and are familiar with prior authorization workflows. You are autonomous: You thrive in an environment where you are given a goal and trusted to figure out the steps to get there. You do not wait to be told what to do next. You are detail-obsessed: You spot missing data, incorrect billing codes, or non-compliant chart notes from a mile away. Why Work With Us? Autonomy & Respect: You will be treated as an essential architect of this business, not just a task-doer. You work at your own pace, pick your own hours, and work in the ways that best support your life and family. Ready-to-Use Resources: You are not expected to invent our clinical guidelines; you will have full access to our massive database at adhdresources.net to pull from. Zero Micromanagement: We care about results, compliance, and systems, not tracking your mouse movements. Direct Partnership: You will have a dedicated Operations Manager (Luis) to handle the billing, credentialing, and logistics, allowing you to focus purely on the clinical and EHR infrastructure. How to Apply To ensure you have read this advertisement thoroughly, please reply with the subject line: "ADHD Clinical Builder - [Your Name]" In your proposal, please include: A brief summary of your experience with US healthcare documentation, utilization review, or USRN status. A short explanation of how you handle building a process when given raw, unstructured instructions (like an audio note) and an existing database of information. Thank you so much! Can't wait to hear from you soon.
