Coin Expert for Book Fact-Check

U.S. Coin Expert Needed to Fact-Check & Proofread Coin Collecting Guide Overview I'm looking for an experienced U.S. coin collector, dealer, numismatist, or coin researcher to perform a thorough fact-check and technical proofread of a non-fiction book about U.S. error coin collecting. The manuscript is written for beginner-to-intermediate collectors and covers topics such as: * Coin grading and authentication * U.S. Mint history and mint marks * Key dates and semi-key dates * Lincoln cents, Morgan dollars, Buffalo nickels, and other major series * Mint errors and varieties * Buying and selling coins * Coin storage and preservation * PCGS, NGC, and third-party grading * Basic coin investing principles The manuscript is approximately 35,000 words. The ideal candidate will have: * Strong practical experience with U.S. coin collecting or numismatics. * Familiarity with grading standards (PCGS/NGC/ANA). * Knowledge of common and famous U.S. varieties and mint errors. * Experience buying, selling, or evaluating collectible U.S. coins. * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to verify factual accuracy. Professional editing experience is a bonus but is less important than genuine subject-matter expertise. You will review the manuscript and: * Identify factual errors or questionable statements. * Verify dates, mintage information, terminology, and historical details. * Flag any misleading or oversimplified advice. * Suggest corrections or improvements where appropriate. * Highlight any important topics that have been omitted or deserve additional clarification. You do not need to rewrite the manuscript. Simple comments, tracked changes, or margin notes are perfectly fine. When applying, please include: 1. A brief summary of your experience with U.S. coin collecting or numismatics. 2. Any relevant certifications, memberships, or affiliations (ANA, PCGS, NGC, dealer experience, etc.). 3. Examples of any related work, publications, or projects you've completed (if available). 4. Your estimated turnaround time and fixed-price quote for reviewing a manuscript of this length. I look forward to working with someone who genuinely enjoys the hobby and can help ensure this guide is accurate, trustworthy, and valuable for new collectors.
