Cold Caller / Appointment Setter — US Local Business Web Design ($20 per Show + $ 150 Bonus, Performance-Only) We build professional websites for US local businesses — and we need a sharp, self-directed appointment setter to help us reach them. We sell custom websites (around $1,500) to local service businesses across the US — plumbers, electricians, roofers, HVAC, landscapers, and similar trades. Our approach is straightforward: we build the prospect a personalized, working free demo of their own site before they pay a cent. That gives our closer something concrete and compelling to walk the prospect through on the sales call — your job is to get them to agree to look. This is a 100% performance-based role. No hourly pay, no base salary, no retainer. You're paid for real, qualified appointments that actually happen — and paid again when one of your appointments becomes a paying customer. What You'll Do: Source and build your own list of US local business leads (we don't provide one). Research and verify leads before calling. Cold call business owners and decision-makers using your own dialing tools. Qualify genuine interest, not just a "maybe." Book a specific, confirmed appointment time for our closer to present the offer. You do not need to pitch pricing in detail or close the sale — a separate closer handles the sales meeting. What Counts as a Qualified Appointment: To be paid, an appointment must meet all of the following: it's a real, relevant local business, not a random or mismatched contact. The person attending is the actual owner or decision-maker. They understand the meeting is specifically about website services. They've shown genuine interest and intentionally agreed to the meeting, not a soft "I guess, sure." They actually show up to the meeting. Compensation: 20 USD per qualified appointment that shows up. 150 USD bonus when one of your booked appointments becomes a paying customer. Payments are handled through Upwork according to the agreed contract and milestones. The Trial: We're starting with a trial of up to 13 qualified, attended appointments. We'll be evaluating appointment quality closely throughout the trial, and we're not obligated to continue through all 13 if quality doesn't meet the bar above — we reserve the right to end the trial early. If you perform well, there's real potential for ongoing, growing work beyond the trial — this is meant to be a long-term relationship for the right person, not a one-off gig. What We're Looking For: Real cold-calling experience, confident, clear, comfortable handling objections live. Experience calling US-based business owners specifically. Self-directed: you build your own lead list and manage your own calling process. All prospecting and calling must comply with applicable US federal and state telemarketing, DNC, and solicitation requirements. You must already have an established process for compliant prospecting and calling. To apply, please answer: 1.
