E-Commerce Developer: Backend Platform Build, CRM, & Invoicing Automation

We are launching an online business and need an experienced backend developer to build our e-commerce platform and configure a seamless, automated invoicing ecosystem. Note: Our branding assets, visual style, and layout mockups are already being designed by a separate creative agency freelancer. Your sole focus is technical platform development, backend business logic, and financial automation. Our Visual & Functional Direction: The website features a highly editorial, high-end design framework. It utilizes a clean, image-focused grid with flat color backgrounds, minimalist typography, hidden slide-out menus, and smooth, responsive layout animations. What You Will Do: * Platform Development: Translate our agency's Figma wireframes into a highly responsive, clean storefront featuring an image-focused product grid, slide-out cart menus, and rapid checkouts. * Secure Customer Portals: Set up a password-protected customer account and company profile gate. Clients must be able to securely log in to see their specific orders, track shipping, and manage saved corporate profiles. * All-In-One Quote & Invoice Architecture: Configure a unified backend product catalog that powers two distinct workflows: 1. Automatically triggers localized invoices when clients checkout directly on the storefront. 2. Allows our internal team to manually generate custom business quotes/estimates from scratch using that exact same catalog to email directly to clients. * CRM, Discount, and Quote Lifecycle Setup: Configure the platform's backend CRM/Customer profiles to track company accounts, corporate billing details, and historical data. Ensure the system allows our team to generate manual draft orders from the product catalog, cleanly apply targeted discount codes or custom line-item price adjustments, and email them out as official invoices that convert seamlessly upon client payment. * Automated Shipment & Fulfillment Tracking: Configure the store's fulfillment backend to process global tracking numbers, trigger automated email shipping confirmations to clients, and display live delivery tracking updates directly within the secure customer dashboard portal. * International Checkout & Localization: Configure a seamless multi-currency checkout switcher and establish geo-targeted tax and international shipping logic. * Data Synchronization: Connect our store data directly into our primary accounting software for automated bookkeeping. Required Qualifications: * Proven portfolio of launching sleek, high-end minimalist e-commerce storefronts (Shopify or similar). * Experience building password-protected customer/B2B account portals with custom pricing or invoicing logic. * Strong experience integrating multi-currency payment processing, global carriers, and automated international taxes. * Deep knowledge of setting up post-purchase automated billing/invoicing workflows. * Excellent collaboration skills to seamlessly work alongside our separate creative design partner.
