Commercial Construction Estimator

AY Development is seeking an experienced freelance Commercial Construction Estimator to assist with commercial renovation and tenant improvement projects. Responsibilities: Review architectural, structural, MEP, and civil plans Perform quantity takeoffs Prepare detailed construction estimates Solicit and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing Assist with bid proposals and scope reviews Identify potential scope gaps and value engineering opportunities Prepare estimates for retail, office, restaurant, and tenant improvement projects Requirements: Experience estimating commercial construction projects in the United States Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Stack, BuildingConnected, Procore, or similar software Knowledge of commercial trades including framing, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and finishes Ability to provide sample estimates or previous project experience Preferred: Experience with commercial renovations and tenant improvement projects Experience working with general contractors Familiarity with Texas construction costs and subcontractor pricing Please include: Years of estimating experience Software used Sample projects completed Hourly rate or fixed-price proposal Availability This position may begin on a per-project basis and could develop into an ongoing relationship for multiple commercial projects.
