Commercial Food Formulator / Recipe Developer

We need a food formulator to create a school-safe, allergen-free health bar recipe for commercial production. The project includes developing a nutritious, kid-friendly recipe, testing and refining the formulation, and preparing production-ready documentation. You will also help source ingredients and recommend packaging options. Experience with commercial food production, allergen-free formulations, and school-safe food products is important. Please share relevant examples of similar work and your approach to recipe development and scaling for production.Project Overview:We are developing a healthy, plant-based snack bar tailored for elementary school environments. The final product must be highly palatable to children while meeting strict dietary, regulatory, and commercial production guidelines. Key Project Requirements: Dietary Claims: Certified Gluten-Free, 100% Nut-Free (peanut and tree nut-free facility standard), and 100% Vegan (dairy, egg, and honey-free). Target Audience: Elementary school-aged children (appealing taste, texture, and bite-size). Deliverables: Commercial-scale formula (scaled in percentages/grams, not cups/spoons). Sourcing guidance for school-safe, allergen-free ingredients. FDA-compliant nutritional analysis and labeling data (including allergen statements). Target shelf-life optimization advice. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in commercial food formulation or culinology (Culinology or Food Science degree preferred). Experience formatting products for school nutrition programs or allergen-free commercial production. Access to nutritional analysis software (e.g., Genesis R&D).
