UK Commercial Litigation Solicitor Required – Commercial Dispute

We are seeking an England & Wales qualified solicitor with strong commercial litigation experience to review a live contractual dispute and provide an independent assessment. We act for a client involved in a dispute with a serviced office provider. A Letter Before Action has been received and the claimant is seeking approximately £53,000 plus interest and costs. The dispute involves: • Contractual notice provisions; • Automatic renewal clauses; • Alleged termination fees; • Personal guarantee issues; • Potential service failures and breach of contract arguments; • Potential counterclaim considerations. We have prepared a briefing pack containing: • Letter Before Action; • Relevant contracts; • Background chronology; • Summary of issues; • Supporting evidence currently available. Scope of Work The successful solicitor will be asked to: • Review the documents provided; • Assess the merits of the claim; • Assess available defences; • Assess any potential counterclaim; • Advise on key legal and commercial risks; • Provide an initial litigation and settlement strategy; • Provide an estimate of likely costs and next steps should the matter proceed. Requirements • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales; • Demonstrable commercial litigation experience; • Experience dealing with contractual disputes, debt claims, guarantees, and business-to-business disputes; • Ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
