PR & Communications Manager (Freelance / Contract)

About Us: We are a growing consumer brand at the intersection of fashion, sports, and lifestyle, led by a founder with an expanding personal brand. We're looking for an experienced PR & Communications Manager to help increase brand awareness, secure meaningful media opportunities, and develop long-term press relationships. This is a freelance, project-based role with the opportunity for an ongoing relationship as the brand continues to grow. Responsibilities: -Develop and execute a strategic PR plan. -Pitch the founder and brand to national, regional, and industry media. -Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, producers, and media outlets. -Identify relevant press opportunities, awards, speaking engagements, and events. -Coordinate interview requests and media outreach. -Draft media pitches, press releases, and talking points as needed. -Create and maintain a media list. -Track media coverage and campaign performance. -Collaborate on product launches, company announcements, -and major milestones. Ideal Experience: We're looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: -Consumer products -Fashion or accessories -Lifestyle brands -Sports or sports lifestyle -Founder-led brands -Entrepreneurship -Women's media Qualifications: -Proven experience securing earned media placements. -Strong relationships with journalists and media contacts. -Excellent written communication skills. -Ability to work independently and proactively bring ideas. -Highly organized with strong follow-through. -Portfolio or examples of successful media placements preferred.
