PR/Communications Pro with Deep Medtech/Dental/Oncology/Pharma Experience for Start-up
Worldwide
Please Note: This posting was edited on 21 June at 15.50 CEST. We are a start-up medical device company with a multi-patented intraoral device for the treatment of xerostomia (dry mouth), FDA-registered as a Class I, 510(k)-exempt device. Xerostomia affects over a billion patients and is grossly underdiagnosed and undertreated. We're exiting stealth mode and have an active news window over the coming months: our global patents and FDA registration (public now), a significant European commercial partnership expected this summer with a North American partnership to follow, and clinical trial developments with a major pharmaceutical partner. We license our technology to industry partners rather than selling direct, so we are not looking for SEO, lead generation, or patient-acquisition funnels. We need a senior consultant who can communicate an innovative treatment — its mechanism and clinical evidence — clearly and credibly. This is a two-phase effort. We are hiring for Phase 1 now. Phase 2 is described so you understand the trajectory, but it is deferred and not part of the current scope. Phase 1 — current engagement: credibility and trade PR. Three deliverables: A messaging foundation — the core, accurate description of the device and the evidence, usable across our announcements and adaptable later for clinical and patient education. An announcement package for the commercial partnership — press materials and a targeted medtech trade-media editor list, plus a release for the FDA registration. A credibility-grade website, two-sided: a general information side (the company, the condition, the science, our patents and FDA status) and a professional side for the clinical and partner audience. Clean and professional, not elaborate. Phase 2 — later, deferred: clinic and patient outreach. After our commercial partnerships are in place, awareness work directed at dental clinics and patient and support associations — much of which our partners will lead. We mention it only so you can see where this goes; we are not scoping or pricing it now. To apply: Briefly tell us how you'd introduce an unfamiliar treatment to the people who'd benefit from it — dental clinics and patients living with a condition they may not know is treatable. Please share one or two relevant healthcare or life-sciences examples. Engagement: Phase 1 is project-based, with potential for ongoing work. Please include a fixed-fee estimate for the three Phase 1 deliverables and your availability over the next two to four weeks. NDA required before discussing specifics.
