Community Manager (Part-Time) Ma'wa Collective | Remote | Flexible Hours About Ma'wa Ma'wa Collective is a global community helping Muslim women build confidence through adventure, travel, and meaningful connection. Over the past three years, we've welcomed more than 1,000 women on trips across 15+ countries and introduced thousands more through our online community. We're now building something we've dreamed about for years: a private, verified global community on Mighty Networks where Muslim women can find travel partners, local friends, mentorship, resources, events, and genuine sisterhood. We're looking for someone who loves bringing people together and can turn an online platform into a thriving, welcoming community. About the Role As Ma'wa's Community Manager, you'll be responsible for creating an engaging, active, and supportive experience for members inside our Mighty Networks platform. This isn't just about answering messages—it's about creating conversations, helping women meet each other, encouraging participation, and making every member feel like they've found their community. You'll work closely with the Founder to launch new initiatives, support ambassadors, and continuously improve the member experience. Responsibilities Community Engagement Welcome every new member into the community Start thoughtful conversations across different spaces Encourage introductions and meaningful interactions Respond to member questions and provide support Celebrate member milestones, wins, and travel stories Ensure conversations remain welcoming and aligned with community values Community Growth Increase member engagement and retention Encourage members to complete profiles and participate Connect women with similar interests, travel goals, and locations Help activate inactive members Collect member feedback and identify opportunities for improvement Events & Programming Coordinate monthly Virtual Hang sessions Support local meetups hosted by ambassadors Help organize online discussions, challenges, and themed community events Create monthly engagement calendars Ambassador Support Onboard new ambassadors Check in regularly with ambassadors Share resources and best practices Help ambassadors plan conversations and local events Track ambassador milestones and participation Content & Communication Write weekly community updates Highlight member stories Share travel resources and announcements Schedule community posts Collaborate on engagement campaigns Moderation Uphold community guidelines Review reports and resolve issues respectfully Maintain a safe and welcoming environment Escalate sensitive situations when necessary Analytics Track and report metrics such as: Active members Member retention Engagement rates Event attendance Ambassador activity Member referrals Community feedback Provide monthly recommendations to improve engagement and community health.
