Community Manager for Indie Visual Novel & Comic Studio

About us We're a small, fast-moving suggestive content indie studio. We release a new visual novel every two weeks, drop comics twice a week (one anime-style, one realistic), and post original generative art every single day. Our locked comics live on Patreon, and we're growing a community of fans who follow the characters and worlds we build. The role We're looking for a Community Manager to be the voice of the studio and the heart of our fan community. Your job is to turn casual followers into engaged fans and engaged fans into paying Patreon members. You'll keep our spaces active, welcoming, and growing, and you'll help connect the free content people discover us through to the paid content that supports the studio. What you'll do Engage daily with our audience across our social/art channels (e.g. DeviantArt) and community spaces Run and grow our Discord, welcome new members, spark conversation, moderate, and keep it lively (help us set it up if we're starting fresh) Manage our Patreon community: onboard new patrons, post updates, keep members engaged, and help reduce churn Build community momentum around our launches , the biweekly visual novel releases and twice-weekly comic drops Guide free followers toward Patreon with on-brand calls to action, pinned posts, and light campaigns Listen to the community, gather feedback and sentiment, and report what you're seeing back to us Coordinate timing of community posts with our release schedule You're a great fit if you have Proven community management experience, ideally for creators, memberships, or fandom communities Excellent written English and the ability to match a consistent, on-brand voice Hands-on familiarity with Patreon and Discord (and bonus for DeviantArt / Reddit / X / Tumbler / Itch.io) A real feel for fan communities — anime, visual novels, webcomics, dating sims, or similar Reliability and self-direction: this role needs a consistent daily presence Comfort tracking basic metrics and reporting on what's working Nice to have Experience growing a Patreon or other membership community (tell us the numbers) Background in visual novel / otome / webtoon / anime fandom Basic graphics skills (e.g. Canva) for quick community posts Familiarity with marketing funnels and converting free audiences to paid We read every application that follows these steps.
