Summary

Productside is dedicated to supporting Product Leaders on their journey to excel in product management. Our Training + Advisory approach eliminates the guesswork, helping teams achieve greater product success in the market. We provide actionable frameworks, leadership engagement, custom training, and organization-wide support to drive positive change and measurable wins. Role Description We’re looking for an experienced Community Manager to build, launch, and grow a Slack based alumni community at Productside. This role is focused on standing up the community from the ground up, seeding it from our existing alumni and client base, driving it to 500+ members, and sustaining genuine, ongoing engagement. You’ll own the community end to end: part architect, part host. You’ll design the channel structure and onboarding experience, then bring the space to life as its day-to-day voice and energizer. This is an ownership role measured on whether the community actually thrives—reinforcing the value our learners get long after a course ends and re-engaging them as repeat buyers and referral sources. What You’ll Do • Design and configure the workspace. This includes: channel architecture, onboarding flow, guidelines, and moderation norms built for retention and content sharing • Develop and run a seeding and recruitment plan using existing alumni/client lists and the Productside Ambassador Program as early evangelists • Drive membership growth toward 500+ members in the first quarter after launch • Spark and sustain conversation through prompts, discussion threads, AMAs, and recurring programming • Serve as the community’s host and moderator—welcoming members, surfacing thought leadership, and keeping discussion healthy and on-brand • Partner with sales and marketing on content and on how the community feeds top-of-funnel and re-engagement efforts • Maintain accurate engagement tracking and report on growth, activity, and pipeline-influence metrics What Success Looks Like • A launched, well structured community that reaches 500+ members in the first quarter • At least one piece of member generated content or discussion per week • Consistent weekly active posting across the community • Measurable contribution to retention, re-engagement, and pipeline influence • Trusted partnership with sales and marketing teammates Who You Are • Proven community builder, you’ve launched and grown an online community (Slack, Discord, Circle, or similar), not just moderated an existing one • A natural host with the instinct to make people feel welcome and keep conversation alive • Comfortable owning outcomes and operating with autonomy • Highly organized with strong systems and process discipline • Confident communicator with excellent written and spoken English • Comfortable with community administration and community tooling • Curious, coachable, and motivated by continuous improvement • Able to thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment • Nice to have: familiarity with product management, B2B/professional audiences, or GTM/marketing funnels What’s in it for you • Ownership of a high-visibility initiative from day one • Ongoing contract with a heavier setup sprint at launch, then steady management • Learn product management directly from industry experts • High-energy, collaborative team that values outcomes over activity • Fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy If you’re a community builder with the drive to bring people together, apply now.
