Compliance Coordinator — Medical Device Regulatory (MDR / MHRA / UKCA / Etc.)

We're a UK eyewear manufacturer whose spectacle frames are regulated as Class I medical devices, and we're looking for a Compliance Coordinator to manage the day-to-day running of our regulatory work. This is an ongoing role. You won't be setting strategy or acting as our legal authority — two members of our leadership team lead on compliance decisions — but you'll be the person who keeps everything moving: turning their direction into organised, on-time, well-documented action. Day to day, you'll prepare MDR-compliant labelling and documentation, research and summarise MHRA and EU MDR requirements into plain, usable briefs, track regulatory deadlines and flag them well in advance, and maintain orderly records so nothing slips. The work is a mix of careful admin, light research, and project coordination across the business. You don't need to be a lawyer or a regulatory specialist, but you do need to be genuinely organised, comfortable reading official guidance, and able to chase tasks to completion without being chased yourself. The ideal person has strong project-management instincts, sharp attention to detail, and the confidence to work directly with senior people — asking the right questions, summarising clearly, and owning the follow-through. Prior exposure to regulated industries (medical devices, pharma, food, cosmetics, or similar) is a real plus but not essential; the right mindset and track record of reliable coordination matter more.
