Compliance Specialist (US Home Care)

Location: Remote Availability: Full-time / Long-term (Contract) Working Hours: US business hours (Please note that this is a full-time role (38 hours per week) and requires someone who is amenable to working in the US timezone). Start: ASAP We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist to support our US Home Care SME with ongoing service upkeep and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with startups and growth-stage businesses operating in regulated industries. This is a long-term freelance opportunity for the right candidate. What you’ll be working on • Monitor changes in federal and state laws, regulations, and industry standards relating to Home Care services across the US. • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on our consulting services and recommend any required updates. • Update consulting materials, templates, policies, procedures, client resources, LMS training content, and supporting documentation to ensure they remain current and compliant. • Develop and deliver training to internal team members on regulatory changes and compliance requirements. • Support the Home Care SME with project coordination and administrative tasks related to client engagements. • Conduct periodic reviews of our service documentation and identify areas for improvement. What we’re looking for • Proven experience as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist or in a similar compliance role. • Experience in the US Home Care, Home Health Care, or broader healthcare industry is highly preferred. • Experience monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and translating them into practical business requirements. • Excellent research, analytical, and documentation skills. • Experience developing compliance documentation, policies, procedures, and training materials. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams. • Experience working with remote or international teams is desirable. • Excellent written and spoken English • Strong presentation and communication skills • High attention to detail and ability to work independently • 5-star Upwork feedback preferred Why work with us Fully remote Long-term, ongoing work Interesting projects in regulated industries Please include: A brief summary of relevant experience Examples of similar work (if available)
