Seeking an experienced Computer Vision Engineer to evaluate the feasibility of estimating human scalp hair density from consumer smartphone images. This is initially a consulting/feasibility project rather than a full application development project. The objective is to determine whether a smartphone-based image capture process can produce repeatable hair-density measurements across multiple scans of the same individual. Key technical challenges include: * Establishing real-world scale from images * Defining a known sample area * Detecting and quantifying visible hair structures * Estimating hair density * Measuring repeatability across multiple captures The primary success metric is NOT exact hair count. The primary success metric is repeatability. For example, if the same subject is scanned multiple times under similar conditions, what level of variation would you expect in the resulting density measurement? Please include: 1. Your proposed technical approach. 2. Whether you believe this is technically feasible. 3. What calibration method (if any) you would recommend. 4. What level of repeatability you believe is achievable: * ±15% * ±10% * ±5% * Better than ±5% 5. Your confidence level in the proposed approach. 6. At this stage I am primarily looking for expert assessment, methodology, and a potential proof-of-concept plan.
