ABOUT THIS ASSIGNMENT We are an established European eLearning and training-consultancy firm preparing a bid for a development-cooperation assignment funded by GIZ (the German development agency). The assignment is to design and operationalise the Sundarbans Knowledge Forum — an inclusive, sustainable knowledge-exchange platform for the conservation and sustainable management of the Sundarbans (India / Bangladesh). The project includes a concept and governance framework, three one-day thematic knowledge-exchange workshops in Kolkata (India), and a five-day exposure visit to a mangrove centre in Bali (Indonesia). This is a freelance, bid-contingent engagement: we need your CV and rate now to include you as a named expert in our proposal. Paid work starts only if we win the contract (delivery September 2026 – August 2027). Communication and deliverables are in English. ROLE SUMMARY Provide subject-matter expertise for the overall design of the Knowledge Forum; lead the identification and assessment of feasible hosting options for the platform; support delivery of three thematic knowledge-exchange workshops; lead development of knowledge products; and support organisation of the exposure visit. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (please address each point in your application) • Master's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management, Communications, or a related field • English at C1 level (CEFR) or above • 8+ years implementing projects in the environment sector • 5+ years in knowledge management or communications in the environmental or development sector • 2+ years of experience on projects in South Asia • 2+ years of experience on development-cooperation (DC) projects ENGAGEMENT & SCOPE • Allocation: 35 expert-days (approx. 23 home-based, 12 in-country in India) • Period: across September 2026 – August 2027; peak load around the workshop and reporting phases • Travel: to India (Kolkata / New Delhi); no Indonesia travel for this role WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU TO QUOTE 1. A 2-page CV (GIZ or Europass style is ideal) showing, for each relevant project: your role, the client, the country, and the duration 2. Your daily fee rate in EUR, plus a fixed lump-sum quote for the 35 days 3. Confirmation of availability across September 2026 – August 2027 and willingness to travel to India 4. Evidence or clear indication of your English level (CEFR) 5. Two or three lines on your South Asia and environment-sector experience, with concrete examples 6. One or two relevant reference projects
