Construction Estimating Coordinator

Construction Estimating Coordinator (Excel & Research) We are a commercial roofing contractor looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimating Coordinator to help build and maintain our estimating system. This is "not" a typical virtual assistant role. We are looking for someone who enjoys organizing information, researching products, improving processes, and creating systems that make estimating faster and more accurate. Responsibilities * Maintain and improve our Excel estimating database. * Organize supplier quotes and keep pricing up to date. * Research roofing products, materials, manufacturers, and building code requirements. * Compare multiple product options and create clear comparison tables. * Review plans and specifications to identify required products and assemblies. * Build and improve Excel formulas, templates, and estimating tools. * Organize project files, PDFs, supplier quotes, and product documentation. * Create detailed post-job reports comparing estimated vs. actual costs and documenting lessons learned. * Continuously improve our estimating knowledge base by documenting products, assemblies, pricing, and best practices. * Assist with administrative estimating tasks and help streamline the estimating workflow. ## Required Skills * Advanced Microsoft Excel. * Strong research and analytical skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Strong written English. * Ability to organize large amounts of information. * Comfortable working independently and asking thoughtful questions. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with construction estimating. * Experience with commercial roofing (preferred but not required). * Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or construction drawings. * Experience creating reports, dashboards, or databases. ## What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys building systems, not just completing tasks.
