Job Description: We are a growing construction company looking to expand our operations nationally. We are seeking an experienced Construction Licensing Specialist or Compliance Consultant to manage, prepare, and submit General Contractor (GC) licensing applications across multiple states. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully navigating state contractor licensing boards, understands the nuances of corporate registration, and can efficiently manage the process from start to finish. We want to outsource the heavy lifting of the paperwork, tracking, and coordination to a professional. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify the specific GC licensing requirements, fees, and timelines for a designated list of states. Prepare all necessary application packages, ensuring absolute accuracy to prevent rejections or delays. Coordinate the corporate registration/foreign qualification process with the Secretary of State in target states. Advise our team on specific state mandates regarding Qualifying Parties (QP), exam requirements, financial statements, and net worth thresholds. Act as the primary liaison between our company and state licensing boards to track application statuses through approval. Required Qualifications: Proven experience obtaining commercial or residential General Contracting licenses across multiple US states. Deep understanding of state-by-state variations in construction law, exam waivers, and reciprocity. Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to protect sensitive corporate and personal information (NDAs will be required). To Apply: Please provide a brief summary of your experience with multi-state construction licensing, specifically highlighting any states you have successfully navigated recently.
