**QuickBooks Online Expert Accountant – Non-Profit & Construction Trade Company (Ongoing)** We are looking for a highly experienced QuickBooks Online (QBO) accountant to manage the books for two organizations: a non-profit and a construction trade company. Both entities are currently on QBO. This is an ongoing engagement — we want someone who doesn't just maintain the books, but actively brings ideas to improve our workflows, reporting, and use of the platform. **What We're Looking For** This is not a data-entry role. We need a QBO power user who stays current with new features, understands best practices for both industries, and can proactively make recommendations to streamline our processes and improve financial visibility. **Scope of Work** *Construction Trade Company:* - Job costing – tracking labor, materials, and overhead by project - Progress billing and invoicing (time & materials or milestone-based) - Subcontractor and vendor bill pay - Payroll allocation by job and cost code - WIP (Work in Progress) reporting - Class and location tracking for project-level P&Ls *Non-Profit Organization:* - Fund accounting and grant/program tracking using QBO classes - Accounts payable and bill pay - Monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Functional Expenses) - Annual audit prep and 990 filing coordination **QuickBooks Online Requirements** - Deep, hands-on expertise in QBO – Advanced tier preferred - Up to date on QBO's latest features (bank feeds, automation rules, new reporting, receipt capture, job costing, project billing, bill management, etc.) - Ability to assess our current QBO setup and recommend improvements - Experience configuring QBO for construction job costing (projects, classes, items) - Experience configuring QBO for non-profit fund accounting - Familiarity with QBO Payroll or integration with third-party payroll tools (Gusto, Paylocity, etc.) **Additional Requirements** - Proven experience managing multiple entities simultaneously - Strong communicator – regular reporting and proactive updates expected - Ability to document processes and train staff if needed **Hours & Engagement** Ongoing part-time role, estimated 20–30 hours/month to start with room to grow.
