Construction Permit Coordinator (Florida) – Remote

We are a commercial general contractor based in Central Florida looking for an experienced Permit Coordinator to assist with the permitting process for commercial and residential construction projects. We are looking for someone who is already familiar with Florida permitting, preferably Central Florida jurisdictions. Responsibilities •Prepare and submit permit applications. •Communicate with building departments regarding permit status. •Respond to plan review comments and coordinate required information. •Work directly with our engineers, subcontractors, architects, and internal team to obtain documents required for permit approval. •Track permit progress and follow up until permits are issued. •Maintain organized permit records and documentation. •Help resolve issues that may delay permit approval. Requirements •Experience with the Florida permitting process (required). •Experience working with Florida building departments and permitting portals. •Strong organizational and communication skills. •Ability to read construction drawings and understand permit requirements. •Experience coordinating with engineers, architects, and subcontractors. •Experience with Central Florida jurisdictions is strongly preferred. Preferred Experience •Commercial construction permitting. •Residential permitting. •General contractor experience. •Knowledge of BuildingConnected is a plus.
