Title: Industrial Designer Needed for Small Consumer Bathroom Product (Enclosure + 3D Files) I'm looking for an experienced industrial designer to help bring a simple consumer electronics product to life. The product is called SeatCheck — a two-piece toilet seat alarm that detects when a middle toilet seat has been left up and emits a beeping alarm after 60 seconds, similar to a fridge door alarm. The electronics are already built and working as a prototype. I need help designing a beautiful, minimal enclosure that looks like it belongs in a well-designed bathroom — not like a hobbyist gadget. --- THE PRODUCT Two pieces: 1. Main unit — a small puck that sticks to the outside of the toilet bowl with 3M adhesive. Contains the electronics (circuit board, buzzer, battery). Target size: approximately 55mm x 35mm x 15mm. 2. Magnet piece — an even smaller piece that sticks to the underside edge of the toilet seat. Just a magnet inside a small housing. Target size: approximately 20mm x 10mm x 6mm. When the seat is down, the two pieces sit about 5mm apart. When the seat is lifted, the magnet moves away and triggers the alarm. --- DESIGN DIRECTION - Minimal and considered — think Muji meets bathroom hardware - Should look like a fixture, not a gadget - Matte soft-touch finish - No visible screws, no visible speaker grille (sound exits through hidden slots or micro-perforations on the base) - Single pinhole LED on the face for status - No branding on the front face - Battery access via sliding cover on base - 3 colorways: matte white, matte black, brushed chrome --- DELIVERABLES - 3–5 concept sketches or renders showing the form factor - Final 3D model files (STEP or STL) ready for 3D printing - A simple exploded view showing how the two pieces relate to each other and to the toilet - At least one lifestyle render showing the product mounted on a toilet --- IDEAL CANDIDATE - Experience designing small consumer electronics or bathroom/home accessories - Comfortable with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent - Can deliver production-ready 3D files, not just pretty renders - Has designed products intended for injection molding (preferred but not required for v1) --- TIMELINE: Need done ASAP Please include examples of similar small consumer product work in your proposal. Bonus points if you have experience with bathroom or home products.
