Content Editor (Short‑Form Social + Paid Ads)
Worldwide
We’re a fast‑moving youth sports company serving middle‑ and high‑school athletes (and their parents), publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and paid channels (Meta). We’re looking for a fast, detail‑obsessed Content Editor to turn raw clips and scripts into scroll‑stopping posts and ad variants—consistently, on brand, and on time. You’ll plug into our marketing pipeline (brief → edit → QA → approvals → Buffer scheduling) and help us scale output without sacrificing quality. Team/Org: This role sits inside our Marketing team in the Content & Communications pod. You’ll reuse our QA checklists, approvals flow, Buffer scheduling, and GA4 reporting—no reinventing processes. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) Edit short‑form vertical video (9:16) and create square (1:1) and landscape (16:9) cut‑downs as needed. Add captions/subtitles, overlays, lower‑thirds, simple motion graphics, and branded end cards. Build hook‑first cuts (pacing, beat selection, text timing) optimized for first‑3 seconds retention and platform best practices. Produce paid media variants: A/B test intros, CTAs, thumbnails, lengths (10–15–30s), and hooks. Light audio work: noise cleanup, EQ/leveling to platform‑safe loudness. Light color: exposure/white balance fixes and consistent look across batches. Package deliverables with correct specs, naming conventions, and folder structure. Collaborate in async review cycles, implement notes quickly, and maintain a low revision count. Follow brand and safety guardrails Required Skills & Tools Expert in Premiere Pro (or Final Cut/DaVinci) and After Effects or CapCut Desktop for speed. Strong command of typography for captions, kinetic text timing, and content pacing. Comfortable creating/riffing on end cards, light motion graphics, and thumbnail treatments. Working knowledge of platform specs (length, safe zones, bitrates, max file sizes) and ad policies. File management discipline; you deliver project files and keep them tidy. Sports‑savvy: can identify key moments, story beats, and terminology across football/soccer/volleyball/basketball. Nice to Have Figma/Photoshop/Illustrator for thumbnail and static asset polish. Experience editing sports, education, or youth‑oriented content. Familiarity with paid social (Meta/TikTok) and what typically gets approved vs. flagged. Basic understanding of creative testing and why variants matter. How to Apply A link to your portfolio featuring short‑form social edits (vertical required) Two before/after examples (raw → final) and what you changed/why We move fast and give clear briefs. If you love clean edits, tight captions, and quick turnarounds, we’d love to work with you.
