Content Editor — Sports Tech
Worldwide
**First Use** is a sports technology company building products for Australian Rules Football. We work at the intersection of performance and storytelling—and we need a sharp Content Editor to turn our product narratives into scroll-stopping, platform-native content. **The Role** You will work directly under our Content Producer to edit and deliver production-ready video for YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. This is not a "cut-and-export" gig. We need someone who understands platform psychology: the 3-second hook for Reels, the narrative arc for YouTube, and the silent-autoplay grammar of Facebook. **What You'll Own** - Edit raw footage into polished, platform-optimized content across short-form, mid-form, and long-form - Build clean motion graphics, lower thirds, and dynamic text treatments - Colour grade, sound design, and mix audio to a high standard - Maintain brand consistency while adapting pacing to each platform's algorithmic preferences - Manage asset libraries, version control, and delivery specs for paid and organic channels - Iterate rapidly based on producer feedback and performance data **Must-Haves** - **A portfolio that proves you can tell a story in 15 seconds.** Show us work that made someone stop scrolling. The tool you used to make it is irrelevant. - **Rapid iteration mindset.** You take feedback, you version fast, and you don't take rewrites personally. - **Self-directed workflow.** You manage your own timeline, flag blockers early, and deliver without micromanagement. - **Native or near-native English.** Comfortable with async direction and AEST timezone collaboration. **Nice-to-Haves** - Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent - Motion graphics capability (kinetic text, clean lower thirds, basic animation) - Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, CapCut Pro, etc.) - Prior sports, fitness, or athletic brand content experience **To Apply** Send your portfolio link and a 60-second Loom video introducing yourself and your favourite piece of sports content you've edited. No cover letters required.
