We're looking for an exceptional Content & Social Media Partner to become an extension of our team. This is **not** a typical social media management role. We're not looking for someone to simply create graphics and schedule posts. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys storytelling, understands brand strategy and brand management, has a strong creative eye, and wants to help us build one of the most trusted local businesses in our community. Every day, we help entrepreneurs, nonprofits, families, and local businesses solve real problems. Our tagline is simple: # We Make Life Easier# Everything we do is built around three values: • Convenience • Community • Connection We believe local businesses deserve to thrive, and one of our biggest initiatives is promoting dozens of small businesses through our annual Community Business Directory. Helping tell those stories is an important part of this role. --- ** ABOUT THE ROLE ** We already have hundreds of authentic photos, videos, customer stories, and behind-the-scenes moments. Your job is to uncover the stories already happening inside our business and transform them into engaging, authentic content that strengthens our relationship with our community. You'll help us: • Organize our growing content library • Identify compelling stories worth telling • Create engaging, platform-specific social media content • Recommend future photos and videos we should capture • Help improve the quality of our content over time • Grow our audience organically • Build consistency across our social channels --- ** AUTHENTICITY MATTERS ** Authenticity is one of our core brand values. We primarily use real photos and videos created by our team inside our business and throughout our community. We are **NOT** looking for someone who relies heavily on stock photography or AI-generated imagery. Our audience connects with real people, real businesses, and real stories. We want our content to reflect that. --- ** PRIMARY PLATFORMS ** Primary Focus • Instagram • Facebook • Nextdoor • Google Business Profile Secondary • LinkedIn --- ** WHAT YOU'LL CREATE ** Examples include: • Reels • Stories • Carousel posts • Educational posts • Behind-the-scenes content • Customer stories • Community Business Directory spotlights • Local business partnerships • Print and shipping tips • Seasonal campaigns • Google Business posts Every platform should receive content that's thoughtfully adapted—not simply copied and pasted. One of your first priorities will be helping us spotlight the businesses featured in our Community Business Directory. We're looking for someone excited to help us quickly create meaningful, high-quality content for dozens of local businesses. --- ** WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE ** Within your first 90 days: • Our content is being published consistently every week. • Our audience is growing steadily and organically. • Our content feels authentic, helpful, and community-focused. • Reviewing content is simple because your ideas are presented clearly and organized logically. • You're proactively suggesting stories, photo opportunities, and video ideas. • You're helping us improve the content we capture—not just the content we publish. • You understand our brand voice well enough to make excellent creative decisions with minimal direction. --- ** THE KIND OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR ** You... • Love storytelling. • Have excellent creative judgment. • Understand brand strategy—not just social media. • Enjoy organizing messy ideas into simple systems. • Have an eye for photography, composition, and visual storytelling. • Can creatively work with imperfect real-world photos and videos. • Communicate proactively. • Welcome thoughtful feedback. • Present your work in a way that's clear, organized, and easy to review. • Think like a creative partner—not just a freelancer. Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Drive, and basic video editing is helpful, but your creative thinking, communication, and organization matter much more to us than the specific software you use. --- ** HOW WE WORK ** We're looking for a long-term relationship. We believe the best creative work happens when both people understand the business, trust one another, communicate openly, and continue improving together. One thing that's especially important to us is **clarity**. We appreciate partners who organize their work in a way that's easy to review and approve. A simple, intuitive approval workflow is just as important to us as great creative. We value thoughtful questions. If something isn't clear, we'd much rather you ask than guess. --- ** TIME COMMITTMENT ** Approximately 8–15 hours per week to start. There is an opportunity for this role to grow as our business grows. --- ** CONFIDENTIALITY ** You'll be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before beginning work. All content, graphics, captions, and creative assets must be created and maintained within designated Google Drive folders. --- If you're simply looking for another social media management job, this probably isn't the right fit.
