Content Strategist & Repurposing Manager — Business Credit/Funding Brand
Worldwide
Overview I run a business credit and funding education brand for established business owners — people already spending $3K-$10K/month who need capital to scale their ads, inventory, and operations. I'm on Instagram (~15K followers) and YouTube, filming consistently, and I already work with an overseas editing team for post-production. What I don't have is someone who lives in the footage with me: watching raw and posted content, pulling out the moments that will actually resonate with an established business owner (not just anyone), and translating that into clear direction my editors can execute without me in the room. That's this role. This is not an editing job — you won't be cutting video yourself. You're the layer between raw footage and the editor: deciding what's worth clipping, why, and how it should be built. English must be your first language, and you must be located in the USA, Canada, or Europe. What You'll Actually Do Review raw and previously-posted long-form footage weekly and identify the specific moments worth clipping into short-form content — with reasoning, not just gut feel. Write clear, detailed editing briefs (pacing, text-hook lines, b-roll direction, captions) for our editing team, in our established brand voice. Manage day-to-day communication with our current editing team — sending briefs, reviewing drafts, requesting revisions against our style guide. Pitch new content ideas based on what's working, using a simple scoring framework (audience fit, pre-selling power, proven format, hook strength) — not just “this could go viral.” Track weekly content performance (views, follower-to-view ratio, engagement) and flag patterns — what's resonating with our audience of established business owners vs. what isn't. Get sharper over time: this role is expected to develop real taste for our brand and audience, not just execute one-off requests. What Success Looks Like 30 days: You're independently pulling clip-worthy moments from raw footage and writing briefs our editing team can execute with minimal back-and-forth. 60 days: Your content pitches are landing — measurably better performance on pieces you originated or shaped vs. baseline. 90 days: You're a trusted second set of eyes on brand voice and creative direction, with a track record we can point to when we scale this role further. You Might Be a Fit If... You've done content strategy, social media management, or repurposing/clipping work for a personal brand, coach, consultant, or founder — bonus if it was in a finance, business, or B2B education space. You can watch raw footage and immediately spot the 30 seconds that matters — and explain why in a sentence, not a paragraph. You write clean, specific creative briefs — you've directed an editor before, even informally. You're comfortable with tools like Frame.io, Descript, Notion, CapCut, or similar for reviewing footage and organizing content pipelines. You understand (or can quickly learn) an audience of established business owners — you know the difference between content that entertains and content that pre-sells. Strong written English is non-negotiable — you'll be writing briefs, hooks, and captions in a specific American brand voice. Hours & Compensation 10-25 hours/week, flexible schedule, fully remote/async. Paid trial first: ~10 hours at $12-20/hr to complete a short trial task and your first real week of briefs. Ongoing: monthly retainer in the $1,000-$2,00 range based on hours and scope, reviewed at 90 days with room to grow as this role expands. Growth Opportunity As the content engine scales, this role has real room to grow — more hours, a bigger say in creative direction, and involvement in building out our broader content and editing bench over time. This is a ground-floor seat on a brand that's actively scaling, not a task-by-task gig. How to Apply Start your application with the words “BUSINESS CREDIT” so I know you read this all the way through. Then send: 2-3 examples of raw-to-repurposed content work you've done (links preferred), with a sentence on why you chose those specific moments. One sentence on the difference between content that entertains and content that pre-sells — in your own words. Your availability (hours/week) and hourly rate. Shortlisted candidates will get a short, paid trial task before any ongoing commitment.
