Summary

We’re hiring a Content Strategist / Content Operator who can take full ownership of our content engine. This is not a “take transcripts → paste into AI → schedule posts” role. We already know how to ship content. We need someone who can drive strategy, raise the bar, and push the CEO with a clear weekly plan based on what’s actually working. Who we are We’re an outsourced finance + accounting firm serving owner-led SMBs. We help operators get clean, reliable financials so they can run and grow with confidence. We create content to build trust, drive inbound leads, and educate founders (cash, profitability, clean books, growth decisions, M&A readiness). What success looks like in this role You own the content machine. You’re responsible for: -weekly performance review (what worked, what didn’t, what we do next) -what the CEO should film next week (topics + angle + hook) -keeping content real (video-first, not generic) -using AI to scale while keeping a human approval layer -turning comments/DMs into conversations (human, not automated) Responsibilities (you run the show) 1) Strategy + weekly leadership (core) -Run a weekly review: performance, lessons, what to double down on -Bring examples/inspo (hooks, formats, angles) we should model -Hand the CEO a clear plan: “Film these 5 things. Start them like this. End like this.” 2) AI-first content ops + agent thinking -Use AI to speed up repurposing, rewriting, and scheduling -Help us build/manage an AI content agent (or agent-like workflows) that increases output -Stay current on AI news/trends and bring us “here’s what changed, here’s how we adapt” -Maintain guardrails + human approval so the output stays on-brand and doesn’t go off the rails 3) Content operations (make it repeatable) -Own the content calendar and publishing cadence across channels -Manage workflows with our editors (you’re not the editor, but you drive what they produce) -Create systems/templates so content gets easier every week 4) Community + distribution (human-first) -Manage/coordinate comments + DMs (needs to stay human) -Guide “Reddit-safe” educational angles (helpful, not spammy) -Make sure content supports our traction channels: LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, Substack (and others as we test) Who we’re looking for You’re a fit if you are: -Confident + independent (you don’t need to be managed) -AI-forward (must-have) and comfortable using modern tools daily -Up to speed on AI news/trends and how it impacts distribution + content -Strong at hooks, framing, and packaging content to perform -Comfortable pushing a CEO: “This isn’t strong enough — do it this way” -Organized enough to run a weekly cadence without chaos -Strong written English (clear, simple, non-corporate) -Big plus: you’ve built or managed an AI agent/workflow that actually worked (not a demo project) What we don’t want (please skip if this is you) -“I need a detailed task list to start” -“I schedule posts but don’t track performance” -“I use AI to write everything and it sounds like AI” -“I’m not comfortable giving direct feedback” Engagement + comp -Long-term, ongoing role -Starting budget: ~$500/month baseline (we’ll adjust based on scope and results) We prefer working with individual freelancers (no agencies) We’re not looking for someone to “help with content” We’re looking for someone to own the system behind it. If that sounds like you - we’d love to talk!
