I'm a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a background in M&A and commercial law, working independently as a legal consultant. I'm looking for a designer/developer to build a modern, fast, conversion-focused website that does one job well: turn visitors into qualified enquiries. This is not a vanity or brochure site. I want a site engineered for lead generation, clear positioning, strong calls to action, low-friction ways to get in touch, and the SEO and analytics foundations to bring in and measure inbound interest over time. What success looks like A professional, credible site that makes prospective clients confident in reaching out A clear, obvious path from "landing on the page" to "booking a call or sending an enquiry" Measurable leads (form submissions / consultation bookings) that I can actually track A foundation that ranks for relevant searches and that I can update myself without going back to a developer every time Scope of work / deliverables A 5–7 page marketing site (e.g. Home, About, Services/Practice Areas, Insights/Blog, Contact - final structure to be agreed) Conversion-focused design: benefit-led hero, clear value proposition, strategically placed CTAs Low-friction lead capture: contact form(s) routed to my inbox + a calendar booking integration (e.g. Calendly / Cal.com) Mobile-first, fast-loading, accessible build (strong Core Web Vitals) On-page and technical SEO setup: sensible structure, metadata, schema markup (LegalService / ProfessionalService), XML sitemap, fast performance Trust elements: space for credentials, experience, testimonials/logos, and clear positioning Analytics + conversion tracking (GA4 or similar) so I can see where leads come from A simple CMS/editing setup so I can add articles and edit content myself A basic launch checklist handled: domain/DNS, SSL, redirects, indexing Copy I'll provide the core copy and need design, build, and light editing. If copywriting is a strength of yours, I'm open to including it - flag it in your proposal. Tech & platform I'm open to recommendations, but I want something I can maintain easily and that performs well for SEO. Webflow, Framer, or WordPress are all fine if you can justify the choice. Tell me what you'd recommend for a solo professional-services site focused on lead generation, and why. Who I'm looking for A designer/developer (or small team) with a strong portfolio of clean, modern marketing sites Demonstrable experience building sites designed to generate leads/enquiries - ideally professional services, B2B, consultants, or similar A solid grasp of conversion principles and on-page SEO A clear communicator who can work to a brief and suggest improvements Comfortable working with a UK-based client (some working-hours overlap is a plus) Nice to have Experience with legal, finance, or professional-services clients CRO / landing-page optimisation background Copywriting strength Ability to set up a simple lead magnet and email capture (e.g. a downloadable guide)
