Copy Editor Needed for Two 60,000-Word Business Books

Hi there. Me and my business partner have each written a book. I'm a former magazine editor. He is not. They are both business books aimed at founders, consultants, agency owners and other B2B knowledge professionals. One book is about Sales and the other is about Marketing. Each cover a proprietary methodology. But, importantly, they are also structured like an autobiography. (Loaded with stories and case studies.) We're looking for an experienced copy editor to edit both books, approx. 60,000 words each. This is **not** a developmental editing project. The structure and content are complete. We're looking for someone who can make the writing clearer, tighter and more enjoyable to read while preserving the voice of each author. Because there are two books, we also want to make sure that concepts and language don't clash. ## What we need * Copy editing for grammar, spelling and punctuation * Improve sentence flow and readability * Remove repetition and unnecessary words * Flag inconsistencies or anything that doesn't make sense * Maintain a conversational, practical writing style * Use Track Changes in Google Docs or Microsoft Word ## About the books Each book teaches business owners how to productize their expertise, so that they can build a business that relies less on the founder. One comes from a marketing lense. The other sales. The tone is straightforward, practical and includes not infrequent course language.
