Copy Editor & Proofreader Needed for Ongoing Sweet Romance Novels (CMOS Experience Preferred)

Hello! I'm looking for an experienced copy editor and proofreader to work with me on an ongoing series of Sweet Romance novels. All editing will be completed in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and should follow the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS). Please apply only if you're comfortable editing to CMOS standards. Please no AI edits. I want only human eyes on this. I'm hoping to find someone who communicates well, responds promptly, and can occasionally handle projects on shorter notice. While most assignments will be scheduled in advance, there are times when I need a quick turnaround on a manuscript or chapter. I'm looking for an editor who is detail-oriented, reliable, and genuinely enjoys helping authors polish their work. Strong communication and consistency are very important to me, as I'm hoping to build a long-term working relationship. I will also require a non-disclosure agreement to be signed by the person I eventually hire. I have attached a copy so you can see what it entails. The current rate is $0.003 per word for copy editing and proofreading. In return, I offer steady, ongoing work for the right person.
