Ad Copy Translation for Luxury brand
Worldwide
We are a Geneva-based digital strategy and communications agency specialising in luxury and premium brands. We are looking for experienced freelance translators to handle ad copy translation/adaptation for digital media campaigns (paid search, paid social mainly). Translators work from the English master provided by us and will need to adapt the copy in the different languages, respecting the platforms ad copy length restrictions. Languages required: We are hiring translators covering the following 9 languages. Please apply only for the language(s) you cover. - Chinese (Traditional) — Taiwan - French — France, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland - German — Germany, Austria, Switzerland - Italian — Italy, Switzerland - Polish — Poland - Spanish — Spain, Mexico - Thai — Thailand - Turkish — Turkey - Arabic — Saudi Arabia What you will translate: Two content types are provided as structured files with the English source pre-filled. - Meta Ads copy (paid social). Each ad unit consists of a headline, primary text, and description, averaging 150 words in total. (Estimation) You translate from English into other languages, respecting character counts where flagged. - Search Ads copy (Google and Bing). Each ad unit consists of 3 headlines with a maximum of 30 characters each, and 2 descriptions with a maximum of 90 characters each (Estimation). Character limits are strict — truncated copy cannot go live. Longer-character languages such as German and Arabic require particular care with headline compression. Volume and cadence: This is an ongoing engagement with work released in batches. Recurring batches go out every 4 to 6 weeks, with additional campaign-specific batches tied to defined launch dates. A typical batch contains 10 to 30 ad units per language. The expected turnaround is 3 to 5 business days per batch. Work is delivered via Excel or Google Sheets, with the English source pre-filled and a column for your translation. Tone and brand requirements: The brand is a Swiss watch manufacturer. Copy must reflect a restrained, confident luxury tone — no superlatives and no generic premium language. Vocabulary should be product-rooted, drawing on materials, craftsmanship, and design. Phrasing should be platform-native: Meta copy reads differently from Search headlines. Character limits on Search must be respected precisely. A brand style guide and reference copy from previous campaigns will be shared with selected translators before the first assignment. Quality control: All translations are reviewed internally by DLG before going live. One round of consolidated feedback per batch is included. Revisions beyond this scope will be discussed case by case. Selected translators may be asked to complete a short paid test of 1 to 2 ad units before onboarding. How to apply: Please write a short message of 5 to 10 lines confirming your language and proficiency level (native or fluent), sharing 2 to 3 examples of ad copy you have translated for luxury, fashion, or premium consumer goods, confirming availability for ongoing work, and providing your preferred rate per word or per ad unit. Generic applications will not be reviewed.
