we're a growing agency and we're looking for a unicorn. not someone who "knows social media" in theory. someone who can open instagram right now and tell me what's performing, why a hook is landing, and what makes someone stop mid-scroll on a carousel. someone who writes copy that sounds like a real human said it, even with using ai this role is for a copywriter who will be creating content for our clients, primarily in health, fitness, wellness, and real estate. what you'll be doing: scripting short form and long form video content for reels and talking head videos. that means you know the difference between writing for a 10 second hook versus a 60 second educational video, and you know how to do both well. a strong hook isn't a nice-to-have, it's the whole job. if you can't write a hook that stops someone in under 10 seconds, this probably isn't the role for you. writing instagram captions that people actually read. you understand that the first sentence is everything and you treat it like one. you're not writing 3-word openers that go nowhere, you're writing lines that make someone think "wait, keep going." building carousels that earn saves and shares, not just views. you know what makes slide 1 worth tapping, what keeps someone swiping, and what makes them screenshot the last slide and send it to a friend. staying current. this job requires you to know what's happening on instagram right now, not six months ago. trending audio, format shifts, what the algorithm is prioritizing, what content creators in our clients' niches are doing well. we move fast and you need to move with it. what we're looking for: real copywriting skills. you understand persuasion, not just pretty sentences. you know how to write a CTA that converts and an opener that earns attention. a strong point of view on what works and why. if you can't tell me why a piece of content is or isn't working, we're not a fit. the ability to write in multiple voices. our clients all sound different, and so should their content. someone who takes feedback and doesn't take it personally, because we're always iterating. nice to have: experience writing for health and wellness brands, real estate, or any niche where you're translating expertise into content that actually connects with a non-expert audience. this is a contractor role with the potential to grow. we are looking to hire fast and you will be asked to submit a homework copywriting piece as a skill test.
