Courseware Developer – Lab-Heavy Java

We are hiring a technical courseware developer to design and build two 5-day, lab-heavy enterprise Java courses: Course 1 (Java SOAP/REST Web Services via JAX-WS and JAX-RS) and Course 2 (Java EE 6 Web Applications running on Java 8, Eclipse, and Tomcat). The instructional design of these courses should mirror the highly structured, highly practical style of Packt or Murach publishing, emphasizing clear, direct concepts paired immediately with step-by-step application. Every lesson must use a simplified online store scenario and follow a strict, repeating layout: concise concepts, hands-on labs (consuming ≥ 50% of the class time), expected results, quick quizzes, and troubleshooting steps. For each course, you will deliver an instructor PowerPoint with lab verification checkpoints, a combined student workbook PDF, and matching clean starter/completed code packages. We will review and approve Lesson 1 for both courses before full development begins. In your proposal, please recommend a daily lesson cadence (3 or 4 lessons/day), detail your QA strategy for keeping slides and code perfectly synchronized, and provide your estimated timeline, pricing model, and 1–2 samples of Packt- or Murach-style lab guides you have written.
