Create a Cinematic Reality Capture & BIM Showcase (Laser Scanning / Digital Twin) About Us We are Onescope, a Dutch Reality Capture company specializing in laser scanning, point clouds, Digital Twins and Scan-to-BIM workflows for the construction and engineering industry. For one of our flagship renovation projects in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, we are looking for a talented visualization artist or studio to create a cinematic project showcase. This project is intended as the start of a long-term partnership. We regularly work on large renovation, infrastructure and industrial projects and are looking for a visualization partner who can support us on future assignments. ⸻ The Project The project consists of: * Approximately 15 hectares of scanned project area * Multi-level parking garage * Attraction decks * Main building consisting of 6 floors * Approximately 1,700 m² per floor * Total building size of approximately 10,000 m² Google Maps location will be shared with shortlisted candidates. ⸻ What We Want To Tell This should NOT be just another point cloud fly-through. We want to tell the story of how Reality Capture becomes Engineering. The animation should demonstrate the complete workflow: Existing Building → Reality Capture → Point Cloud → CAD Drawings → BIM Model → Engineering The audience consists of: * Engineers * Architects * Contractors * Developers * Project Managers * Clients The animation should explain the value of Reality Capture in a visually engaging and easy-to-understand way. ⸻ Desired Storyline Scene 1 – Introduction (5 sec) Introduce the project. * Rotterdam overview * Project location * Building introduction ⸻ Scene 2 – Parking Garage & Attraction Decks (15 sec) Create a cinematic fly-through through: * Parking garage * Attraction decks Highlight: * Scale * Complexity * Quality of the captured point cloud This should create the first “wow moment”. ⸻ Scene 3 – Building Fly-Through (15 sec) Continue with a smooth fly-through through the six-storey building. Show: * Interior spaces * Structural elements * Height differences * Detail captured by the laser scan ⸻ Scene 4 – Reality Capture to Engineering (10–15 sec) This is one of the most important parts of the animation. We would like to visualize how engineering information is extracted from the point cloud. Show: * Horizontal section cuts * Vertical section cuts * Point cloud transforming into 2D CAD drawings * Camera flying through the engineering drawings before transitioning back into the project This workflow has proven to be one of the biggest added values for our client and should therefore receive significant attention. ⸻ Scene 5 – Scan-to-BIM (10 sec) A pilot Scan-to-BIM model of one floor is already available. We would like to include: * Point cloud overlay * BIM elements appearing from the scan * Alignment between point cloud and BIM * Existing versus engineered model If the complete Scan-to-BIM project proceeds during production, additional BIM content may be supplied to expand this section. ⸻ Scene 6 – Engineering & Collaboration (5 sec) Finish with the collaboration between: * Onescope * Quadrant Engineers Optional closing tagline: Reality to Engineering ⸻ Deliverables Hero Film * 45–60 seconds * Cinematic quality * Suitable for website, presentations and events LinkedIn Version * 20–30 seconds Social Media Teaser * 10–15 seconds Marketing Images Create at least 10 high-resolution cinematic renders from the project. These renders will be used for: * Website * Social media * Brochures * Presentations * Event materials * Printed gifts for our clients during our Visual Twin Experience We are especially looking for several iconic hero renders that combine artistic quality with technical accuracy. ⸻ Material We Will Provide Shortlisted candidates will receive: * Google Maps project location * Leica TruView project links * Project photographs * Registered Leica RTC360 point cloud * E57 files (if required) * Autodesk ReCap project * IFC and/or Revit BIM model * Company logos * Additional project information The Leica TruView links are intended to help you understand the project before preparing your final concept. ⸻ Software Preferred software: * Unreal Engine * Twinmotion * Blender Alternative software is welcome if it produces outstanding results. ⸻ What We’re Looking For We are not simply looking for a video editor. We are looking for a creative visualization partner who understands storytelling, architecture, engineering and Reality Capture. We admire the quality and storytelling of work such as PointCloudVisuals, but we are not looking for a copy.
