Creation of 2 Complete Pokémon Designs for Nintendo DSi – Hand-Designed Only, No AI
Worldwide
Hello, I am looking for an illustrator or graphic designer who can create two complete and different Pokémon-themed designs for the customization of Nintendo DSi consoles. The designs will later be reproduced by me directly on the console shells using paint and brushes. For this reason, the artwork must be specifically designed to be transferred and painted by hand. Requested Designs Design 1: - Mew; - Mewtwo; - a well-designed and harmonious background inspired by their universe. Design 2: - Pikachu; - Bulbasaur; - Squirtle; - Charmander; - a colorful and well-designed background. I will provide reference images to show the general style I am looking for. I do not want an exact copy of those examples, but an original creation with a similar visual direction. Nintendo DSi Areas to Customize Each design must include: - the exterior front face of the Nintendo DSi when the console is closed; - the upper interior area around the top screen; - the lower interior area around the touch screen; - the visible areas around the buttons, directional pad, speakers, hinges, and other console components. The design should look consistent and harmonious when the console is open, while also looking attractive when it is closed. Colors for the Console Parts I will give the designer creative freedom when choosing: - the main color of the console; - the button colors; - the directional pad color; - the border colors; - the hinge colors; - the colors of the other small components. However, each small console part must use one solid color only, without detailed artwork, textures, gradients, or patterns. For example, all face buttons may use one solid color, the directional pad another color, and the borders another color. Detailed designs on these small components would be too difficult for me to reproduce properly with a paintbrush. Hand-Painting Requirements I currently have no experience with drawing or painting. The designs must therefore be suitable for a beginner who will use them as painting templates. The artwork should: - avoid extremely small elements; - avoid details that are too fine or too complex; - use clear and easily recognizable shapes; - use clean and sufficiently thick outlines; - include large color areas that are easy to fill with a paintbrush; - avoid highly complex gradients; - preferably use a cel-shaded style with solid colors and only a few levels of shading; - take the real dimensions of the Nintendo DSi into account; - avoid placing important details underneath screens, buttons, speakers, hinges, or other cutouts. The Pokémon should remain expressive and recognizable while still being realistic for a beginner to reproduce manually. Required Files For each of the two designs, I will need: - one complete full-color version; - one outline-only version; - one numbered-color version, similar to a paint-by-numbers template; - a clear color legend showing which number corresponds to each color; - the exact color references used; - a separate file for each part of the console; - files that can be printed at the exact real-life scale of 1:1; - a Nintendo DSi template that takes the screens, buttons, speakers, hinges, and all cutouts into account; - editable source files; - high-resolution PDF and PNG exports. Example of the color-number system: - Color 1: light pink; - Color 2: dark pink; - Color 3: purple; - Color 4: white; - Color 5: black. The goal is for me to print the outline version, transfer the drawing onto the shell, and then paint each area by following the numbered color guide. Important: No Artificial Intelligence I do not want any AI-generated artwork, including artwork created partially with AI. I am looking for genuine illustration and design work created manually by the designer. Work generated with Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, or any other image generator will not be accepted. Application Requirements Please include examples of your own previous work with your application. Experience designing console skins is not required, but I will prioritize artists with experience in: - Pokémon artwork; - character illustration; - cartoon illustration; - gaming designs; - skins or customized products; - stencil designs or paint templates. Please also specify: - the software you use; - the file formats you will provide; - your estimated delivery time for both designs; - the number of revisions included; - your working process; - confirmation that the artwork will be created without artificial intelligence. The fixed budget is $100 for both complete designs. Thank you for your application.
