Creative Director – E-commerce Performance Creative & Content Strategy
Worldwide
We are hiring a full-time Creative Director to own creative strategy and content direction for e-commerce brands. This role is for someone who understands that creative is one of the biggest drivers of customer acquisition. You will be responsible for identifying strong angles, writing scripts, directing editors, testing concepts, and improving creative performance over time. This is not a role for someone who only wants to make content look polished. We need someone who can create content that gets attention, communicates value, handles objections, and drives purchases. The Role You will own the creative thinking behind paid and organic content. This includes: Researching the product, customer, market, competitors, reviews, and objections. Finding strong hooks and angles that make people stop, watch, click, and buy. Writing scripts for short-form ads, UGC-style videos, Meta ads, TikTok ads, Reels, Shorts, and organic content. Creating clear briefs for video editors and designers. Reviewing edits and giving specific feedback on hook, pacing, structure, captions, messaging, visuals, and CTA. Testing multiple creative concepts, formats, storylines, and offers. Reviewing performance data and turning learnings into the next set of creative tests. Your job is to make creative a repeatable acquisition engine for the brand. What You’ll Own Creative strategy for paid ads and organic content. Customer research, competitor research, review mining, and ad research. Hook, angle, script, and messaging development. Creative briefs for video editors and designers. Direction on video structure, pacing, storytelling, captions, visuals, and CTA. Creative testing roadmap across Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. Creative performance analysis across CTR, hook rate, retention, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, and revenue impact. A repeatable creative production and iteration system. What Success Looks Like You will be successful if: The brand has a strong pipeline of fresh creative concepts. Every creative is based on a clear customer insight or selling angle. Scripts become sharper, more persuasive, and easier to execute. Editors receive clear briefs and specific feedback. Creative testing becomes structured and frequent. Winning creatives are identified, improved, and scaled. Weak creatives are analyzed and turned into better concepts. Content contributes directly to acquisition and revenue. Who You Are You are a strong fit if you: Have experience in creative strategy, short-form content, UGC, or paid ad creatives. Understand e-commerce, DTC brands, and performance marketing. Can identify what makes a product compelling to customers. Can write clear, persuasive, conversion-focused scripts. Can guide video editors with specific and actionable feedback. Understand the difference between attention, engagement, and conversion. Can analyze creative performance and decide what to test next. Are available full-time. This Role Is Not For You If You only care about aesthetics. You only want to manage editors without owning creative outcomes. You cannot explain why a creative will or will not convert. You need someone else to provide every idea. You do not enjoy customer research, testing, or iteration. You only measure content success by views, likes, or comments. You are not comfortable being accountable for creative performance. How to Apply Please send a 3–5 minute Loom video covering: Your experience with creative strategy and short-form content. Examples of ads or content you have worked on. A product you helped sell through creative. How you identify hooks, angles, and customer pain points. How you brief and guide video editors. How you measure creative performance. What your creative testing process looks like. Why you are a strong fit for this role. Important We are hiring someone who treats creative as a performance lever. If you understand customer psychology, hooks, scripts, editing direction, and performance data, this role is for you.
