Creative Partner for Independent Music Artist — Worldbuilding + Campaign I am an independent musician in Los Angeles looking for a creative thought partner to help develop the visual world around my upcoming single releases that are strongly based around video and SFV. I am looking for someone who enjoys brainstorming, refining concepts, and helping shape an artist's long-term visual identity, not just executing individual design tasks. My "Away” campaign is from roughly October 6-November 26 2026, followed by additional release in mid to late-January 2027. I am looking for someone who can help with the creative direction of the campaign and artistic world across many mediums including: -Storytelling and narrative, getting to the core of what’s interesting -Visual bible / visual identity -Music video concepts -Short-form video / TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts -Photography direction -Visual motifs -Social-first creative ideas -Locations / props -Cover-art direction -Styling / wardrobe And eventually, live-show / lighting / stage concepts The biggest thing I'm looking for is collaboration. I’m not necessarily looking for an expert in all of these areas, but someone who understands storytelling, and some degree of the other technical parts of these above (i.e. SFV, music video cinematography, styling etc) I want someone who asks good questions, challenges my ideas, notices stories I should be telling, sends me interesting references, and helps me stay in a creative mindset while I'm also dealing with the logistical side of releasing music. My aesthetic is somewhere around: I’m a singer-songwriter accordionist whose genre is very niche and leans into something like: cabaret + psychedelic folk + energetic tango + dreamy European nostalgic + + vintage rock + theatrical performance + surreal/absurd/drunken robot humor + cinematic storytelling Think less "generic musician branding" and more building a distinctive artistic universe that can live across music videos, social media, photography, artwork, and live performance. I'm particularly interested in talented people in Mexico/Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Philippines, or other places where I can work with someone talented that I can reasonably afford as an indie mostly DIY artist. I'm envisioning an initial $1,000–$1,500 engagement, but I'm open to structuring this as either a project or a short-term ongoing creative partnership. I'm particularly interested in freelancers who would enjoy an ongoing creative relationship—potentially meeting weekly or biweekly—rather than simply completing a one-time deliverable.
