Creative Researcher for Paid Social Ad Ideas and Competitor Research
Worldwide
We are hiring a creative researcher to find, analyze, and organize paid social ad ideas for consumer products. This is not a generic market research role. The work is mainly about finding real ads, landing pages, hooks, angles, offers, scripts, and competitor patterns that can turn into new creative tests. What you will do: - Search Meta Ad Library, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, competitor sites, Amazon/Etsy listings, and other public sources for strong creative examples. - Pull screenshots/links and organize findings in a clear research doc or spreadsheet. - Explain why each ad or angle works: hook, audience, promise, objection, offer, format, and what we should test from it. - Look for repeated patterns across winning ads, not just random examples. - Turn research into practical creative briefs for ads. Good fit: - You have researched DTC/ecommerce, paid social, UGC ads, direct response creative, or competitor ads before. - You can write clearly and make judgment calls, not just collect links. - You are comfortable using AI tools, but your work must include your own taste, reasoning, and real examples. - You can move quickly and show your thinking. Hourly range: $20-$100/hour depending on proof of relevant judgment and speed. Please answer these questions in your proposal. Generic answers will be ignored: 1. Pick one consumer product ad you remember seeing recently. What was the hook, what customer desire or fear did it use, and what would you test as a second version? 2. In 5 bullets, describe exactly how you would research ad angles for a custom gift product. Name the actual sites/tools you would check first. 3. Send one public ad, product page, or competitor link you think is a strong reference for this kind of work. Explain why in 2-3 sentences. 4. Tell me about a time your research changed a creative, landing page, offer, or campaign decision. What did you find and what changed? 5. Do not use ChatGPT to answer this question: what is one weak or overused ad angle in DTC right now, and why do you think it is weak?
