Video is one of our most important deliverables — it's how our clients show up, build trust, and convert attention into action. We're looking for a senior video editor who treats every cut as an opportunity to do something the client didn't expect. The Role We're looking for a senior Video Editor on a contract/freelance basis who brings genuine creativity and a strong directorial eye to every project — not just clean cuts and color correction. You will work across a wide range of content types: UGC-style brand content, talking head interviews, lifestyle and b-roll footage, short-form social edits, long-form brand films, and behind-the-scenes event content. We need someone who can take raw, sometimes messy footage and find the story in it. Someone who knows when to cut fast and when to let a moment breathe. Someone who brings pacing, rhythm, and a point of view to the edit, not just technical execution. If you edit everything the same way regardless of the footage or the brand, this is not the role for you. If you instinctively know how a UGC ad should feel different from a brand film, and a talking head interview should feel different from an event recap — keep reading. What You'll Do UGC-Style Brand Content Edit raw UGC and creator-style footage into polished, scroll-stopping content for paid and organic social Apply pacing, captions, sound design, and visual hooks that match platform-native UGC trends Find the strongest moments in unscripted or loosely scripted footage and structure them into a compelling narrative Talking Head & Interview Content Edit interview and talking head footage into tight, engaging pieces — cutting filler without losing authenticity Apply b-roll, graphics, and pacing techniques that keep viewers engaged through longer-form dialogue Maintain a natural, human feel while elevating production value B-Roll & Lifestyle Shoots Cut lifestyle and b-roll footage into cohesive sequences that support brand storytelling Apply color grading, sound design, and pacing to elevate raw footage into something premium Build flexible asset libraries from shoots that can be repurposed across multiple deliverables Short-Form Social Edits Edit fast-paced, trend-aware content for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts Apply platform-native pacing, captions, transitions, and sound choices that drive watch time and engagement Stay current on emerging editing trends and incorporate them where they serve the brand Long-Form Content (YouTube & Brand Films) Edit longer-form brand films, documentaries, and YouTube content with strong narrative structure and pacing Balance storytelling, music, sound design, and visual rhythm across extended runtimes Apply a directorial point of view to shape raw footage into a complete creative piece Event & Behind-the-Scenes Content Edit event recaps and behind-the-scenes footage into content that captures energy, atmosphere, and key moments Work efficiently with high volumes of raw footage and tight turnaround windows common to event content Identify the most compelling moments from hours of footage and build them into shareable assets What You Bring 5+ years of professional video editing experience across multiple content types and formats A reel that demonstrates range and creative direction — not just technical proficiency Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; After Effects proficiency strongly preferred Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling structure across short-form and long-form content Sound design and color grading skills that elevate raw footage into polished final assets Deep familiarity with platform-native trends for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts — and the judgment to know which trends actually serve the brand Experience editing UGC-style content with an eye for authenticity balanced with production value Ability to manage multiple projects across different brands and content types simultaneously Fast turnaround without sacrificing creative quality Highly communicative — proactive updates, clear questions upfront, and reliable delivery Comfortable receiving creative direction while still bringing your own instincts to the edit What We're Really Looking For We've seen plenty of editors who can follow a brief. We're looking for one who elevates it. Someone who looks at a pile of raw UGC footage and sees the hook no one else would have found. Someone who can take a 45-minute interview and find the four minutes that actually matter. Someone whose edits have a rhythm you can feel before you can explain why. K3 Group works across diverse brands, formats, and content types — which means the work will never be repetitive, and the standard will always be high. We want an editor who treats every project, no matter how small, as a chance to do something memorable.
