Crime Video Editor

Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled and passionate video editor based in India who can bring dark, dramatic storytelling to life through masterful editing. This is a long-term part-time role with consistent monthly work. Responsibilities: • Edit 4 videos/month (10–20 mins each) • Blend AI-generated images, AI video clips, stock footage, and Indian archival clips seamlessly • Source relevant stock footage and archival clips independently • Generate AI images for scene recreation and dramatic visuals where real footage isn't available • Generate AI video clips that accurately depict specific scenes and plot points from the script — visually consistent with the dark, cinematic theme of the channel • Sync AI voiceover with footage naturally • Add text overlays, chapter titles, and subtitles • Apply dark, moody color grading (reference style provided) • Handle basic sound design and background music sync Requirements: • Proven experience editing documentary or storytelling content • Ability to source stock footage and archival clips independently • AI video clip generation is a MUST — candidate must be able to generate accurate, theme-consistent AI video clips that visually match specific scenes and plot points in the script • Ability to generate and composite AI images • Strong knowledge of Indian news archives and archival footage sources • Ability to deliver cinematic, color-graded documentary-style edits • Turnaround of 3–4 days per video • Reliable, communicative, and receptive to feedback • Portfolio or sample work required Style Reference: Netflix's Delhi Crime, Coffeehouse Crime, Stephanie Harlowe — dark, cinematic, chapter-based documentary format Compensation: Per video basis — please share your rate when applying How to Apply: Send the following to [your email/DM]: 1.
