We work with AML service providers, analytics firms, and law enforcement globally. Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented freelancer to work as a Cryptocurrency ATM Data Specialist. In this role, you will identify, research, and verify cryptocurrency ATMs in your local area, collecting accurate and verifiable data about their operation, ownership, and usage. This work contributes to building structured datasets used in blockchain intelligence and compliance analysis. Key Responsibilities - Identify cryptocurrency ATMs in your assigned city or region - Collect and verify key information for each ATM, including: - Exact location - Operator / owning company - Supported cryptocurrencies - KYC requirements and user access levels - Operational status (active, temporarily out of service, permanently closed) - Conduct OSINT research to understand how each ATM operates - Capture clear, high-quality photos of ATMs during visits - Validate all collected data to ensure accuracy and consistency - Submit structured data and collaborate with the team to maintain a reliable database Requirements - Basic experience using cryptocurrencies (e.g. BTC, ETH, LTC, etc.) - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Ability to work independently in a remote environment - Good written and spoken English What We Offer - Flexible remote work (10–20 hrs/week, project-driven). - Hourly compensation based on experience and output. - Mentorship, training materials, and exposure to real Web3 investigations. - Opportunity to grow into broader tracing/research responsibilities. What Success Looks Like - Complete an accurate ATM entries with minimal missing data - Verified operator and operational details (no assumptions or guesswork) - Clear, usable photos of each ATM - Consistent data quality requiring minimal revisions during QC Security & Compliance (Requirement) - Follow Chainlabs’ security practices (2FA, VPN, secure handling of sources). - Complete a brief identity verification before access to internal systems. - Respect privacy and data-minimization guidelines when collecting/storing information.
