Hi, I have an original hand-drawn character design that I’d like professionally recreated into two complementary versions while faithfully preserving the charm, personality, proportions, and expression of the original drawing. The goal is not to redesign or “professionalize” the character into a different style. Instead, I’d like two faithful interpretations of the same character for different production purposes: * A soft, plush-style version for use as reference artwork for a custom plush manufacturer. * A clean, flat vector version optimized for print and merchandise. Intended uses: * Reference artwork for a custom plush toy manufacturer * Stickers * Enamel or soft enamel pins * Embroidered patches * Future tote bags, apparel, and other merchandise Style Direction Version 1 – Plush Reference Artwork Please create a soft, premium plush-style interpretation of the original character. * Soft, rounded, pillowy shapes throughout. * Minimal or no visible outlines. * Gentle, matte shading to suggest softness and volume (no glossy or heavily airbrushed rendering). * Simple facial features that resemble embroidered or appliqué details on a plush toy. * Preserve the original character’s proportions, expression, ear shape, cheek placement, striped body, and overall personality. The goal is to soften the design for plush production—not to redesign it into a generic plush character. Version 2 – Flat Vector Artwork Please also create a clean vector version intended for printed merchandise. * Clean, bold outlines similar in weight and feel to the original marker linework. * Flat, solid color fills only (no gradients or shading). * Preserve the original’s subtle asymmetry and hand-drawn charm. Small imperfections (for example, the eyes not being perfectly identical) are intentional and should not be “corrected” into a perfectly symmetrical or generic kawaii style. * Keep the overall expression sweet, calm, and slightly wide-eyed, matching the original character. Black-and-White Line Art Please also provide a separate black-and-white line-art version (outlines only, no fills) of the flat vector artwork for coloring pages, single-color patches/pins, and manufacturer reference. Deliverables * Plush-style color artwork * Flat vector color artwork * Black-and-white line-art version * Editable AI, SVG, and EPS vector files (for the vector artwork) * Transparent PNG exports of all versions I’d also appreciate confirmation that I will own the full commercial rights to the final artwork, as it will be used for manufactured products. The original reference image is attached. Please let me know if you have any questions before providing a quote. Thank you for considering my project!
