Curriculum Development Virtual Assistant
Worldwide
Hi! I’m currently expanding **Teach the Geek (TTG)** and am looking for a virtual assistant who can help me with curriculum development and some supporting administrative work. Teach the Geek is an education-focused company that provides tutoring, curriculum/resources, academic support, and educational consulting. One of the biggest areas I’m developing right now is a library of high-quality, comprehensive curriculum that can be used with our own students and eventually sold/licensed to teachers, tutors, families, and other educational programs. I have already developed the structure, standards, style, pacing, and level of detail I want. I’m **not looking for someone to start from scratch or decide what the curriculum should look like**. I need someone who can study the curriculum I have already created and use it as the model for building additional lessons. A large portion of your work would involve using different AI tools/models to help develop curriculum efficiently while maintaining the TTG standard. I would provide the curriculum maps, existing lessons, templates, instructions, and examples. Your primary responsibilities would include: • Using my completed curriculum as the model for new lessons • Building new lessons according to an established curriculum map and sequence • Using multiple AI models strategically to draft, review, improve, and fact-check curriculum • Making sure each lesson matches the depth, structure, tone, and rigor of my existing materials • Creating student materials, guided notes, practice activities, homework, assessments, vocabulary activities, and answer keys • Creating corresponding teacher materials, including teaching notes, misconceptions, differentiation, discussion questions, and answer keys • Making sure lessons align with the standards I provide • Checking that skills progress logically from one lesson to the next without introducing concepts too early or unnecessarily repeating previous material • Reviewing AI-generated work for errors, weak questions, incorrect answer keys, inconsistencies, or content that does not meet the established TTG standard • Formatting curriculum content so that it is organized and easy for me to transfer into or finalize in Canva • Maintaining organized files, lesson numbers, curriculum maps, vocabulary lists, assessment banks, activity banks, and related curriculum documentation • Tracking which lessons are drafted, reviewed, revised, approved, and ready for final design • Helping research appropriate resources, activities, examples, and instructional approaches when needed • Completing occasional administrative/organizational tasks as the company grows Initially, I expect the position to be **heavily curriculum-development focused**. I am currently developing multiple curriculum lines, including middle and high school mathematics and full language-learning programs. There is a significant amount of curriculum to build, so I am looking for someone who can learn my system and eventually work fairly independently within it. I do NOT expect you to personally know every subject we develop. What matters more to me is that you are comfortable working with AI, following detailed instructions, researching when necessary, catching inconsistencies, staying organized, and learning how to reproduce an established format accurately. For example, I may give you: **Curriculum Map:** Grade 7 → Unit 3 → Lesson 4: Equivalent Ratios & Unit Rates **Reference Materials:** Completed Lessons 1–3 + TTG curriculum development instructions Your job would be to use those materials and the appropriate AI tools to develop Lesson 4 to the same standard, check the work carefully, create all required components and answer keys, and submit a polished first draft for my review. I would still handle final curriculum approval and major instructional decisions. The goal is for you to take over much of the time-consuming **building, checking, organizing, and preparing** so that I can focus on strategy, final quality control, teaching, and growing the company. Because AI will be a major part of the workflow, I’m especially interested in someone who is willing to become very good at prompting, comparing outputs from different AI models, recognizing when AI gives a weak or incorrect answer, and improving the output rather than simply copying and pasting whatever it generates. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, I’d love to talk more about your experience with AI tools, Canva/Google Docs, organization/project management, education or curriculum work, and how comfortable you are learning a detailed system and following it consistently.
