Custom House Design with AI

Luxury Interior Designer — AI Concepts + FF&E / BOM for High-End Residence I’m looking for a very strong interior designer with excellent taste to help develop a high-end residential interior. This is not a standard “make a few nice renders” job. I already have references and a clear direction. I need someone who can look at them, understand the level I’m aiming for, and turn them into a coherent luxury interior concept across the whole property. Think: quiet luxury, strong architecture, beautiful natural materials, custom furniture, stone, walnut, sophisticated lighting, hidden technology — expensive without looking flashy. No cheap glamour. No random gold. No generic Pinterest interiors. What I actually need I will provide: * floor plans and dimensions; * photos of the property; * reference interiors; * furniture and material references; * examples of details I like. You will help turn this into a clear design direction. For each main room, I need: * a good furniture/layout solution; * approximately 2–4 strong visual concepts / renders; * materials and finishes; * approximate furniture dimensions; * custom cabinetry / kitchen / wardrobe concepts where needed; * enough information that we can actually source or manufacture the result. I am completely open to AI-assisted rendering. In fact, I prefer a smart and fast workflow over spending weeks building technically perfect 3D models. The renders do not need to be 100% technically exact. If they communicate the intended space, proportions, materials and atmosphere at around 80–95% accuracy, that is enough for this stage. What matters most is the design decision. The important part: BOM / FF&E This project will largely be manufactured and sourced in China. So I don’t want beautiful images with no idea how to build them. For the selected concept, I need a practical specification / FF&E / Bill of Materials showing things such as: * item; * room; * approximate size; * material; * finish; * color; * reference image; * custom-made vs purchased; * useful sourcing / manufacturing notes. It does not need to become a 400-page construction document. It needs to be clear enough that a good Chinese manufacturer can understand what we want and quote it. Areas that matter a lot Especially: * kitchen; * flooring; * custom wardrobes; * wall panels; * bathrooms; * lighting; * built-in furniture; * stone; * natural walnut / timber; * hardware; * hidden appliances; * integrated technology. The interior should feel fully developed and richly detailed, not empty minimalist boxes. Who I’m looking for You may be an interior designer, architect, visual designer or a very strong AI-assisted designer. I care much more about your eye and thinking than your software. You should be able to look at a reference and understand: what makes this look expensive? Not just copy the furniture. I need someone who understands proportions, materials, detailing and how to keep several rooms within one design language. Experience with custom manufacturing or Chinese suppliers is a big plus, but not mandatory. How I’d like to work I don’t want to commission the entire house blindly on day one. Let’s start with one important space. You show me your thinking and first concept. If we are aligned, we continue through the rest of the property room by room. There can be multiple paid milestones. About the budget The $1,000 shown on Upwork is NOT the maximum budget for the full project. I had to put a number on the job post. I would rather find the right designer first and then agree on a sensible package and milestones based on: * number of rooms; * level of detail; * quality of work; * amount of sourcing/specification work. If your work is genuinely strong, I am prepared to pay accordingly. I am not looking for the cheapest freelancer. I am looking for someone who can materially improve the project. Final deliverables Typically: * concept presentation / PDF; * high-resolution renders; * furniture/layout plans; * custom furniture concepts; * FF&E / BOM in Excel or Google Sheets. Exact deliverables can be agreed once we understand the workflow. Please read this before applying Start your proposal with: “Quiet luxury, no kitsch.” Then keep your proposal short. Please send: 1. 3 projects maximum that best represent your taste — not your entire portfolio. 2. Tell me what part of this project you would personally be strongest at. 3. Tell me one design mistake you would absolutely avoid in this type of luxury interior. 4. Tell me how you would approach the first room during the first few days. I don’t need a long AI-generated cover letter. Five thoughtful sentences are more useful to me than five paragraphs of generic sales text. If your portfolio is excellent, I will look at it.
