Custom Mod for Apple Magic Keyboard

I'd like to build a custom mod for my Apple Magic Keyboard to make it mechanical with choc switches, but with all the same innards as stock. I'm looking for a freelancer with experience in electronics and custom mechanical keyboard design to help with this project. I have a disassembled keyboard. There is a 40 pin zif connector from the main board to the keyboard matrix. We'll need to replace the FPC keyboard matrix with a custom PCB and connect it to the existing logic board. I should be able to handle the case design. I'd like someone to guide me through the process so I learn, not just go off and do it for me. I understand the basic principles, but there are so many details it would greatly accelerate the process to have experienced help. I have a degree in hardware and software engineering, but I haven't touched a soldering iron in over a decade.
