AI Data Engineer & Analyst — Microsoft Fabric / Power BI / Azure AI (6-Month Contract)

We're building an AI-powered Data Analyst and Strategic Planning Agent that helps our client-facing teams sell smarter. The agent analyzes our internal client and engagement data, maps each account against our full offerings master list, enriches it with the latest client-related news and market signals, and deliver an AI-Driven Next Best Action (NBA) Engine for account upsell and cross-sell across our global client portfolio. The solution follows a two-phase approach: The goal: surface the accounts most likely to expand, explain why, and hand our Account Directors and Sales Leaders ready-to-use briefs with opportunity scores, account briefs, talking points, and an executive Power BI dashboard. Note: we do not currently run a CRM, so the solution must work from structured exports and unstructured documents (account plans, SoWs, meeting notes). What You'll Build - Account baseline analysis — summarize each client's current business with us and detect gaps against our offering master list - News & signal intelligence — retrieve, summarize, and classify client news (launches, M&A, expansion, funding, regulatory changes) and map signals to solution needs - Offering-to-need mapping — logic for upsell (deeper in service line) and cross-sell (adjacent offerings) - Opportunity scoring & prioritization — rank accounts by likelihood of success using internal data + external signals - NBA recommendation engine — per-account recommended offerings, sales motion, value proposition, and supporting evidence - Sales-ready outputs — one-page account opportunity briefs, exec summaries, and a Power BI dashboard for scoring, tracking, and reporting - Built-in explainability, traceability, auditability, and role-based access (no model training on our data) Must-Have Requirements - The entire solution must be built within the Microsoft ecosystem — Azure AI / Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric / Power BI, Power Platform (Power Automate / Copilot Studio), SharePoint/OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra (role-based access). Proposals built on non-Microsoft stacks will not be considered. - Proven experience designing AI agents / RAG pipelines that combine structured data with unstructured documents and live web/news signals - Strong Power BI development — dashboards, data modeling (DAX), and report design for executive audiences - Data engineering across structured exports (revenue by account/service line, engagement history) and unstructured content (decks, SoWs, notes) - Experience implementing enterprise-grade security, data governance, explainability, and audit logging - Ability to design human-in-the-loop validation (no automated deal execution or CRM writes)
