Job Description About the Project We're validating, a direct-pay healthcare marketplace connecting patients with providers at transparent, upfront prices — no insurance required. Think "Airbnb for healthcare visits." Before we build, we need to validate: Do patients actually want this? Will providers join? Is the market timing right? We're looking for an experienced idea validation specialist to help us answer these questions through customer discovery, landing page testing, and competitive analysis. Scope of Work 1. Customer Discovery Interviews (40% of project) Conduct 15-20 interviews across two segments: Patients (10 interviews): Uninsured or underinsured individuals High-deductible health plan holders People frustrated with healthcare costs/billing Questions to answer: Would they use a cash-pay marketplace? What price points work? What concerns do they have? Healthcare Providers (5-10 interviews): Independent practitioners (NPs, PAs, therapists, PTs) Solo practice physicians Mobile/house call providers Questions to answer: Would they join? What payout do they need? What are their pain points with insurance? Deliverables: Interview script/guide (for approval before interviews) Recorded interviews (with permission) or detailed notes Summary report with key insights and quotes Go/no-go recommendation 2. Landing Page Validation (30% of project) Set up and run a simple landing page test: Deploy our existing landing page (we'll provide) Set up email capture for waitlist signups Run small paid ad test Target: Atlanta, GA metro area Track: Conversion rate, cost per signup, traffic sources Deliverables: Landing page deployed (Vercel, Netlify, or similar) Ad campaign setup (Google Ads and/or Meta) Weekly metrics report Final analysis: signup rate, CAC estimates, audience insights 3. Market & Competitive Research (30% of project) Deep dive into the direct-pay healthcare market: Competitors to analyze: Sesame Care Zocdoc Hims & Hers One Medical (Amazon) PlushCare MDsave Research deliverables: Competitive positioning matrix Pricing comparison Feature gap analysis Market size validation (TAM/SAM/SOM) Regulatory considerations (state-by-state if relevant) SWOT analysis for Rivomed Ideal Candidate Must have: Experience with startup idea validation or customer discovery Strong interviewing skills (Mom Test methodology preferred) Experience with landing page A/B testing Market research background Excellent written communication (reports, summaries) Based in US (for timezone alignment and understanding US healthcare) Nice to have: Healthcare industry experience Experience with direct primary care (DPC) or cash-pay models Familiarity with tools: Typeform, Calendly, Google Ads, Meta Ads Previous work with healthcare startups
