DMCA & Brand Protection Specialist About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive DMCA & Brand Protection Specialist to safeguard our intellectual property and online brand presence. This is a part-time role (~30 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. You will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and resolving unauthorized use of our content, trademarks, and brand assets across digital platforms, marketplaces, and social media channels. Key Responsibilities DMCA & Content Protection Monitor online platforms (YouTube, social media, websites, file-sharing sites) for unauthorized use of our copyrighted content File DMCA takedown notices and counter-notices as appropriate Track and document all infringement cases and takedown outcomes Follow up on pending takedowns and escalate unresolved cases Brand Protection Identify and report trademark infringement, counterfeit listings, and brand impersonation Submit brand violation reports to platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Google, Meta, and others Monitor domain registrations and social media handles for brand squatting Maintain a database of authorized sellers, licensees, and brand assets Reporting & Collaboration Provide weekly reports on takedown activity, infringement trends, and case statuses Coordinate with legal counsel when escalation beyond standard takedown procedures is needed Work closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand guidelines are upheld Recommend tools, workflows, or services to improve brand protection efficiency Qualifications Required Proven experience filing DMCA takedown notices and handling IP/brand protection cases Familiarity with copyright law, trademark basics, and online enforcement processes Experience working with platforms such as Google, YouTube, Meta, Amazon, and others Strong written communication skills for drafting professional notices and reports Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously Preferred Background or coursework in intellectual property, paralegal studies, or digital law Experience using brand protection tools (e.g., Red Points, Corsearch, BrandShield, or similar) Familiarity with Google Search Console, WHOIS, and domain monitoring tools Prior experience working in a remote or async team environment Work Setup ๐ Location: Fully Remote ๐ Hours: ~30 hours/week (flexible, with overlap during business hours preferred) ๐ Employment Type: Contract (Part-Time) โ potential to convert to full-time ๐ฌ Communication: Slack, Email, weekly check-ins
