DTC Brand Strategist Needed to Improve Positioning & Increase Apparel Sales We are seeking a senior DTC brand strategist with deep expertise in consumer psychology, product positioning, and apparel brand growth to help us diagnose why our Shopify apparel brand is struggling to gain traction and build a stronger strategy for growth. About Us Apple Pie Clothing (registered trademark) is a direct-to-consumer apparel brand focused on celebrating things Americans love through hand-drawn designs (food, travel, cars, Americana, etc.). Our brand centers around American pride, nostalgia, comfort, and identity. Website: wewantpie.com Social: @wewantpietoday The Problem Over the past year, we have consistently posted organic content across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook while actively pursuing influencer outreach to build awareness. We also ran paid ads on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram for several months, but ad spend was relatively limited and did not generate meaningful sales. Despite significant effort building the brand, creating designs, and driving traffic, real customer sales remain extremely low. At this stage, we are trying to determine whether the core issue is: Brand positioning Product-market fit Design appeal Messaging / offer Customer trust Pricing Overall market strategy We value honesty over politeness. If our brand concept, designs, messaging, pricing, or positioning are flawed, we want direct feedback. Important Another specialist is currently reviewing our analytics and traffic data. Your role is not primarily analytics or ad management. We are not looking for generic CRO advice, a Shopify redesign pitch, or basic ad management. We want strategic insight into why customers are not emotionally compelled to buy. What We Need From You We need a strategist who can help answer questions such as: Is our brand positioning compelling? Are our products emotionally resonating with target customers? Is our messaging weak or unclear? Is our visual branding helping or hurting trust? What would make customers feel compelled to buy?
