Summary

We're hiring a video editor who lives and breathes direct response. You'll be cutting VSLs, AI cartoon ads, AI UGC ads, and static-to-video remixes for DTC brands running on Meta and TikTok. This is a creative production role, not a "follow the template" role — you should understand why a hook works, why a pattern interrupt converts, and how pacing/music/SFX move someone from scroll to click. What you'll do: Edit full direct response ads from script to final export: VSLs, AI UGC, AI cartoon ads, static remixes Source and curate b-roll from TikTok, stock libraries, and competitor swipe files Generate AI b-roll using Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, and Nano Banana Pro Produce ElevenLabs voiceovers (casting, direction, cleanup) Layer music, SFX, transitions, captions, and pattern interrupts that hold attention through the first 3 seconds and don't drop off after Ship multiple creative variants per concept for ad testing (hook swaps, angle swaps, CTA swaps) Work fast and effecient — we test creative weekly and iterate based on Meta data Required experience Strong fundamental understanding of direct response marketing — hooks, leads, problem-agitate-solve, offer stacking, CTAs Proven editing reel with DR ads (VSLs, UGC, or AI ads) you've cut for live campaigns Comfortable generating and prompting AI video tools (Kling, Veo, Seedance) and AI image tools (Nano Banana) Fluent in CapCut/Premiere Pro — keyboard shortcuts, dynamic captions, beat-matched cuts Fast b-roll sourcing instincts — you can find the right clip in 2 minutes, not 20 Software stack Higgsfield · ElevenLabs · CapCut · Premiere Pro · Kling 3.0 · Veo 3.1 · Seedance 2.0 · Nano Banana Pro Bonus points You've run or worked on a brand that scaled past $50k/mo on Meta You can read a Meta ads report and tell me if it's a hook problem or a conversion problem You have your own opinions about what makes a winning DR ad and can defend them Familiarity with the RMBC method, Eugene Schwartz's awareness stages, or Stefan Georgi-style copy How to apply Send me your portfolio.
