Data Analyst Needed – 7-Year Toggl Time Tracking Audit & Workforce Utilization Analysis We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to review and analyse approximately 7 years of historical Toggl time-tracking data across ~20 current and former team members. The objective is to identify missing work hours, incomplete time entries, data inconsistencies, and provide a defensible methodology for estimating and allocating unrecorded hours based on historical work patterns. Scope of Work Data Audit & Analysis Review approximately 7 years of Toggl data Analyze time entries across projects, clients, tags, and categories Identify missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent time records Detect anomalies and time-tracking compliance issues Validate overall data quality Missing Hours Analysis Calculate for each employee: Expected working hours (based on a 40-hour work week) Actual logged hours Missing hours by month, quarter, year, and overall Time-tracking completion percentage Consider: Employment start and end dates Holidays and approved leave Part-time arrangements where applicable Historical Time Reconstruction Develop a methodology to estimate where missing hours may have been spent based on: Historical employee work patterns Project and client allocations Utilization trends Seasonal workload trends Team-wide activity patterns Recommendations must clearly distinguish between verified and estimated data. Confidence Scoring Framework Create a confidence scoring model for all reconstructed hours: High Confidence (strong supporting evidence) Medium Confidence (reasonable historical patterns) Low Confidence (limited supporting evidence) All recommendations must include supporting rationale and documentation. Required Deliverables Comprehensive Toggl data audit report Employee-level missing hours analysis List of incomplete or problematic time entries Historical time reconstruction methodology Confidence scoring framework Management review report with recommended allocations Executive dashboard and reporting package Future-state recommendations for improving time-tracking compliance Historical Time Recovery Model Provide a reusable model in one of the following: Excel Power BI Google Sheets Looker Studio The model should allow management to: Review missing hours by employee and time period Review recommended allocations View confidence scores Approve or reject recommendations Track decisions and comments Ideal Candidate Strong data analysis experience Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills Experience with Toggl or similar time-tracking systems Experience with workforce utilisation analysis Dashboard and reporting expertise Strong documentation and analytical skills When Applying Please include: Examples of similar workforce, utilisation, or time-tracking analysis projects. Experience with Toggl or comparable systems. Examples of dashboards or analytical reports you have created. Your proposed methodology for identifying and estimating missing hours. Estimated timeline and level of effort for this project. We are looking for someone who can provide not only analysis but also a transparent and defensible methodology that management can rely on when reviewing historical time records.
